To borrow or not to borrow? Borrow only if you can repay! 


1. The personalised preferential monthly flat rate of as low as 0.13% only applies to selected cardholders who draw down the amount of HK$200,000 or more, with a repayment period of 24 months. The annualised percentage rate (“APR”) 3.16% is calculated as for a loan amount of HK$200,000, with a monthly flat rate of 0.13%, a one-off HK$300 handling fee and a repayment period of 24 months. The APR is calculated according to the standard method set out in the Code of Banking Practice, and is rounded up or down to the nearest 2 decimal places. Please note that the actual APR may differ.

2. The “Cash in Hand” amount will be credited to the cardholder’s designated BEA HKD savings/current account in 2 working days or to the cardholder’s designated HKD savings/current account maintained with another bank in 3 working days from the approval date. 

3. Handling fee waiver only applies to Cyberbanking/ iCIH SMS (including but not limited to applications through other e-channels). For applications through the application hotline, The Bank of East Asia, Limited will levy a HK$200 or HK$300 handling fee (depending on whether the drawdown amount is below HK$5,000/HK$5,000 or above). The said handling fee is charged for each application through the hotline, and will be debited from the cardholder's BEA Credit Card account together with the first instalment.

4. The cardholder can receive the rebate after applying for and drawing down the designated "Cash in Hand" amount with a repayment period of 12 months or more via Cyberbanking/iCIH SMS from 1st November to 31st December, 2022. Together with the "Extra rebate exclusively for new customers", each cardholder will be entitled to a maximum rebate of HK$3,000.

5. The rebate is only available to cardholders who successfully apply for and draw down the amount of HK$10,000 or more with a repayment period of 12 months or more via Cyberbanking/iCIH SMS during the promotional period. The rebate will be credited to the relevant credit card account on or before February 2023, and will appear on the relevant statement. The cardholder’s account and the relevant application must be valid at the time the rebate is given. The APR including rebate as low as 2.02%, which is calculated according to the amount of HK$300,000 with a monthly flat rate of 0.13%, a repayment period of 24 months, and the rebate of HK$3,000.

6. “New customer” refers to BEA principal cardholders who have not successfully applied for, drawn down, and/or did not have any “Cash in Hand” Programme Instalment between 1st November, 2021 and the day of their application on this programme (the “eligible cardholder”). The BEA Corporate Card, BEA UnionPay Dual Currency PLATINUM/DIAMOND Credit Card (Renminbi Account), and all supplementary cards are excluded from this offer.

7. The cardholder can log in to Cyberbanking directly and apply with any of principal credit card accounts under the cardholder's name. If the cardholder is a new-to-bank customer or has not yet used Cyberbanking, the cardholder can log in for the first time by entering the cardholder's credit card account number and phone PIN (set by the cardholder during the card activation process). If the cardholder has forgotten the phone PIN, please contact our Customer Services Hotline for instant reset.
