ATM Services Important Notice & New Features
Enhanced Security Controls for Overseas ATM Services 
In accordance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority ("HKMA"), with effect from 1st March, 2013, the overseas ATM cash withdrawal function for all ATM cards has been preset as "deactivated".
To ensure that you can use overseas ATM cash withdrawal services*, please remember to activate the overseas ATM cash withdrawal function of your ATM card before travelling, by setting the activation period and overseas daily withdrawal limit of the card via any of the following BEA Online channels.
- Local ATMs
- BEA Online
- BEA Mobile
- Phone Banking (852) 2211 1888
After language selection and logging on to Phone Banking, please press “5” > “7” for activating the overseas ATM cash withdrawal function
(If you do not have or forget your Phone Banking PIN, please visit our branches to apply new PIN or reset your PIN in BEA App)
For your protection, please ensure your mobile is switched on and can receive overseas ATM cash withdrawal alerts when abroad. Note for All-in-one account customers: If an overseas ATM does not allow you to select accounts, any withdrawal will automatically come out of your HKD Current Account.
*Notice on Overseas ATM cash withdrawal in the United Kingdom ("UK") with UnionPay ATM cards
Due to UnionPay's change of ATM network provider in the UK, some ATMs in the UK may not support cash withdrawal services by UnionPay cards from 1st April, 2016 until further notice. To locate ATMs that do take UnionPay cards, please visit the UnionPay website, www.unionpayintl.com, and select "ATM Query" for details.
