About Us
BEA’s two-year Group Management Trainee ("MT") Programme provides diverse learning opportunities and extensive local, cross-boundary, and global exposure to nurture high-calibre graduates into future leaders. Trainees who demonstrate strong potential and meet management benchmarks will be advanced to executive positions upon completion of the Programme.
The Programme focuses on developing all-round General Bankers through an integrated model.
Learning ProgrammesBEA offers a diverse and targeted learning curriculum on its products and services, and on the banking industry as a whole. Trainees are also given numerous opportunities to develop the soft skills and leadership qualities that every successful banker needs.
By upskilling our trainees and equipping them with the necessary skills, BEA empowers our future leaders to drive future business development and bank transformation. We achieve this through job rotation and hybrid learning, delivered in the classroom and virtually, with a focus on:
· Technology & data
· Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
· Greater Bay Area (GBA) & Cross-boundary business
Professional Development
BEA encourages continuous professional and personal development, including support for obtaining relevant professional licences and qualifications.
On-the-job ExperienceDuring the first year, trainees receive intensive training in BEA’s core functional units, including personal banking, wholesale banking, wealth management, treasury markets, risk management, GBA business, and tech & data, through short-term job attachments.
In the second year, each trainee will be assigned to a department to take on more in-depth challenges.
Coaching & Mentoring
Members of the Bank’s Management or Senior Managers are assigned to individual trainees as coaches or mentors to help them integrate into the corporate culture and nurture their personal growth by sharing knowledge and experience, providing guidance, and offering support.
Action Learning Projects
Trainees are also given ample exposure and opportunities to get involved in various corporate events and projects to practise their leadership and management skills.
To showcase their learning results in research and analysis, problem solving, and decision making, trainees will deliver a project presentation to the Management Panel before the end of the two-year programme.
