Frequently Asked Questions

All applications should be submitted online via the BEA Careers website. Select the position you would like to apply for and click “Apply”. You will then be directed to the Sign In page. Sign in with your User Name and password. You can then input other personal information as required and follow the guided procedure to complete your job application.
Visit the BEA Careers website and select "Job Opportunities". Then, click "Apply Now", which will direct you to the BEA Job Search page. Click "New User" to open a Registration page, input your User Name, First Name, Last Name and Email Address, and indicate your acceptance to BEA’s Terms and Conditions, and the Personal Information Collection (Employees) Statement by checking the boxes. The First-time Password will be sent to your registered email address and you will be directed to the Job Search page. Once you have signed in with the First-time Password and changed your password, the registration is completed.
Go to the Sign In page of the BEA Careers website and click “Forgot User Name” or “Forgot Password” as appropriate. Your User Name or password will be sent to your registered email address. If you have forgotten both your User Name and password, we will not be able to retrieve your registration record. You have to set up a new User Profile.
If you would like to apply for more than one position, please select the jobs and click the “Save Job” button. You can then apply all your selected positions through one online application.
Email notification will be sent to your registered email address to confirm our receipt of your job application. Upon receipt of this notification, you do not need to reply or contact us to re-confirm receipt. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted by telephone or email to proceed to the next step of the recruitment process.
First of all, your personal data in your online application is protected by a secure system. Personal data provided by job applicants will be used for recruitment purposes only and will be treated in accordance with the Bank's Personal Data Policy. Applicants who are not invited for an interview within six weeks may consider their applications unsuccessful and the personal data collected will be purged after six months. Please refer to our BEA’s Terms and Conditions, and the Personal Information Collection (Employees) Statement for details. 
Only pdf, doc, docx, rtf, odt, or txt formats and files not exceeding 2MB each can be accepted.
You may apply for any jobs from anywhere in the world, as long as you have the legal right to work in Hong Kong.
If you have never applied for a job, your user profile will be purged after six months. Afterwards, you have to register again if you want to submit your application. Please refer to our BEA’s Terms and Conditions, and the Personal Information Collection (Employees) Statement for details. 
You can change the name, email address, and phone number you have saved in your User Profile.
You cannot view your resume once you have submitted it.
You have to re-submit the application and attach an updated resume.
Yes. Please send a written / email request to enquiries-careers@hkbea.com, to withdraw the application. Be sure to include your full name and the Job Opening ID. 
While applying, you will see a Referrals tab onscreen. Please select “Employee Referral” in response to the question “How did you learn about the job?”.You should input the name of your referrer and his/her BEA office email address. Your referrer will receive notification by email to confirm the referral.

In such case, please convert your GPA score based on a 4-point system and enter your GPA score.
Simply input the full name of your school in the “School Description” field and the full name of your major in the “Major Description” field.
You can refer to the time of intake and deadline as stated in the job posting to submit your application.
As long as you have a good honors degree and have no more than 2 years of working experience, you can apply the next batch of Management Trainee Programme.
