“Payment Connect” links the Faster Payment System (FPS) in Hong Kong with the Internet Banking Payment System (IBPS) in the Chinese Mainland, allowing residents in both regions to make small-value cross-boundary remittance1 in real time.

A few steps to transfer to Mainland:

  1. Log in to BEA Mobile and select “Actions”
  2. Select “Remittance”
  3. Select “To new payee” or “Recent payee”
  4. Select “China” as the Beneficiary Bank Country/Region and “CNY” as Payment Currency
  5. Enter payee details and transaction amount
  6. Authenticate the transaction with i-Token to complete transaction

How to log in to BEA Mobile?

 

Remarks:

  • 1For Hong Kong identity card holder making small-value cross-boundary remittance to Chinese Mainland, the daily personal transfer limit is HK$10,000 or its equivalent, with an annual limit of HK$200,000 or its equivalent. The daily limit is separated from the current daily cross-boundary remittance limit of RMB80,000.
  • If you want to adjust the "Payment Connect" limit, please activate i-Token on BEA Mobile first, then go to "Settings" at the top-left corner > “Transfer & Payment” > "Transaction Limit Settings" > "Payment Connect Limit", you can adjust the daily transaction limit up to HKD10,000 as needed and then click "Update".
