eMPF Platform

1. What is the Role of Bank of East Asia (Trustees) Limited ("BEAT") After Onboarding to the eMPF Platform?

After the scheme onbroading to eMPF platform, the MPF account information under the Scheme including past records will be migrated to the eMPF Platform. While BEAT remains the trustee of the scheme, the eMPF Platform Company Limited will provide scheme administration services to you directly.

2. When can I start using the eMPF Platform?

The 3 MPF schemes under BEAT will gradually get onboard to the eMPF Platform, according to the schedule on eMPF website. You may register your MPF account on the eMPF Platform from the registration date and then start to manage your MPF account after the onboarding dates.

3. What are the Key Changes after Onboarding to the eMPF Platform?

Administrative Instructions	BEAT will no longer receive administrative instructions. Please submit your MPF administration instructions on the eMPF Web Portal or eMPF Mobile App, or submit the designated MPF administration forms to eMPF Platform to manage your MPF.
Payment Receipt Date	The payment receipt date will depend on the receipt date by eMPF Platform. Please be aware that contribution surcharges might be incurred if MPF contribution payments have mistakenly dropped off to the wrong location. BEA shall not bear any responsibility for delay in contribution. The Cheque-Deposit-Box services in BEA branch will also be ceased on the following dates: BEA (MPF) Value Scheme: 10^th October, 2024 BEA (MPF) Master Trust Scheme: 10^thFebruary, 2025 BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme: 10^thApril, 2026
Contributions Payment	The eMPF Platform does not accept any cash payments for contributions. Please make payment by cheques and submit it directly to the eMPF Platform by post (P.O. Box 98929 Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office); through drop-in box in any of the eMPF Service Centres; or make electronic payments to the eMPF Platform via eMPF Web Portal or eMPF Mobile App.
New Administrative Forms	The existing BEA MPF administrative forms will be invalid. The expiry schedule of the administration form is listed below: BEA (MPF) Value Scheme: 28^th December, 2024 BEA (MPF) Master Trust Scheme: 4^thMay, 2025 BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme: 30^thJune, 2026 To avoid declined applications, please use the administrative forms issued by the eMPF Platform as soon as possible after the Scheme onboarded to the eMPF Platform.

4. What is the Impact to me after the Scheme Onboarding for BEA (MPF) Master Trust Scheme?

(i) Transitional Operation Arrangement

BEAT will cease accepting administration instructions based on different cut-off dates, if you wish to have instruction processed before the onboarding date, valid instructions must reach us by the respective cut-off dates as mentioned on Notice to Participating Employers and Scheme Members.

Please use the administrative forms issued by the eMPF Platform as soon as possible after the Scheme onboarded to the eMPF Platform.

¹Please note that the change does not apply to BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme.

5. What is the Impact to me after the Scheme Onboarding for BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme?

For Casual Employees of the BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme, existing physical Casual Employee Cards will be replaced by digital cards on the eMPF Platform, carrying the same function as an identity of their MPF account.

Topic Highlight: New Digital MPF Experience - Introduction to the eMPF Platform and Transitional Arrangements

eMPF Platform has been officially launched on 26^th June, 2024; BEA (MPF) Value Scheme, BEA (MPF) Industry Scheme and BEA (MPF) Master Trust Scheme under BEA Trustees will gradually get onboard to the eMPF Platform from the fourth quarter of 2024. In order to help the Scheme Participants to know more about the eMPF Platform and to get prepared for the onboarding, representative from the authorized contractor of the eMPF Platform Company will introduce the eMPF platform and the details of the transitional arrangement to participating Employers and Scheme Members.
