Terms and Conditions and Other Important Notes:

  1. To qualify for the promotional offers, customers must submit their applications for the above-mentioned VHIS Plans through the insurance services webpage of The Bank of East Asia, Limited (“BEA”) between 1st June and 15th September, 2020, both dates inclusive ("the Promotional Period"), and the relevant policy must be successfully issued by Blue Cross (Asia-Pacific) Insurance Limited (“Blue Cross”). 
  2. Promotional offers are based on per insured person.
  3. Customers are only entitled to the Premium Discount once for each policy. For premiums paid on an annual basis, the discount will be deducted from the initial payment. For premiums paid on a semi-annual basis, the discount for the first 6 months will be deducted from the initial payment. The remaining discount will be deducted from the second payment due 6 months later.
  4. No e-Dollars can be earned for application of the CareForYou Super Flexi Plan for VHIS, CareForYou Flexi Plan for VHIS or CareForYou Standard Plan for VHIS.  
  5. Customers are only entitled to the Service Coupon once for each policy. The Service Coupon cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-replaceable, non-refundable, non-transferable and non-returnable. Use of the Service Coupon is bound by the terms and conditions issued by the service provider. BEA and Blue Cross make no representation or guarantee as to the quality and availability of the products, services or information provided by the service provider. BEA and Blue Cross shall not be liable for any matters arising from or in connection with the products, services or information related to the Service Coupon. Customers should direct any queries or complaints to the service provider. The Service Coupon will be delivered to eligible customers within 3 months after the premium is settled. Customers must provide a genuine and complete correspondence address. Failure to supply such information may result in Blue Cross being unable to deliver the Service Coupon. BEA and Blue Cross shall not be responsible or liable for any failure of mail delivery, and the Service Coupon will not be reissued. BEA and Blue Cross reserve the right to recover the retail price of the Service Coupon from any customer who has received the Service Coupon but thereafter cancels the relevant policy.
  6. HK$800 Supermarket Voucher is applicable to CareForYou Super Flexi Plan for VHIS while HK$200 Supermarket Voucher is applicable to CareForYou Flexi Plan for VHIS and CareForYou Standard Plan for VHIS. Customers are only entitled to the Supermarket Voucher once for each policy.The Supermarket Voucher cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-replaceable, non-transferable, and non-returnable. Use of the Supermarket Voucher is bound by the terms and conditions issued by the participating merchant. The Supermarket Voucher is available while stocks last. The Supermarket Voucher will not be re-issued in case of loss or damage. The Supermarket Voucher or a redemption letter for the Supermarket Voucher (the “Redemption Letter”) will be delivered to eligible customers by post, approximately 3 months after the premium is settled. Customers who receive the Redemption Letter must present the original copy in person at the designated redemption centre during the redemption period in order to collect the Supermarket Voucher. Customers must provide a genuine and complete correspondence address for the purpose of mailing the Supermarket Voucher or Redemption Letter. Failure to provide such information may result in loss of mail or Blue Cross being unable to mail the Supermarket Voucher or Redemption Letter to the eligible customer. BEA and Blue Cross shall not be responsible or liable for any failure of mail delivery, and neither the Supermarket Voucher nor the Redemption Letter will be reissued. BEA and Blue Cross reserve the right to recover the retail price of the Supermarket Voucher from any customer who has received the Supermarket Voucher but thereafter cancels the relevant policy.
  7. These promotional offers cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with any other promotional or discount offers for the same insurance product, unless otherwise specified.
  8. BEA and Blue Cross reserve the sole right to vary or cancel this promotional programme and/or amend or alter these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of BEA and Blue Cross shall be final and conclusive. 
  9. This marketing material is for reference only. For details of the insurance plans, please refer to the relevant product leaflets.  For the exact terms and conditions of the insurance plans and the full list of exclusions, please refer to the policies.
  10. Should there be any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of this marketing material, the English version shall apply and prevail.

The Bank of East Asia, Limited (“BEA”) is an appointed insurance agency of Blue Cross. The insurance plans are products of Blue Cross but not BEA. All benefits payable under the insurance plan are subject to the credit risk of Blue Cross.

In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between BEA and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, BEA is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the product should be resolved between Blue Cross and the customer directly.
