Cyberbanking and the BEA App –
Registration of the FPS Addressing Service

You can receive money from anyone by privately sharing with them your mobile number, email address, FPS ID and/or HKID1. To use this service, you must first register for the FPS Addressing Service in Cyberbanking or the BEA App.

Activation through CyberbankingActivation through the BEA App

FPS Addressing in Cyberbanking

  1. • Log in to Cyberbanking
    • Select Settings > Faster Payment System (“FPS”) Addressing Service
  2. • Select the proxy ID(s): “Mobile no.”, “Email address”, “FPS ID” and/or “HKID no.” you wish to register
    • Enter your details
    • Set BEA as your Default Bank2
    • Select “Proceed”
  3. • Enter the One-time Password (OTP) sent to your “Mobile no.” and/or “Email address” for registration3,4
    • Select “Proceed”
  4. • Review your FPS Addressing Service summary5
    • Select “Proceed”
  5. • Verify the details
    • Select “Confirm” to complete the FPS Addressing registration

FPS Addressing in the BEA App

You can register for the FPS Addressing service through either or all of the following proxy ID(s):


Registering for a Mobile Number

  1. • Log in to the BEA App
    • Select Transfers & Payment >
    FPS Registration
  2. • Select “Register” in
    “Mobile no.”
  3. • Select a deposit account to receive money sent to this proxy ID
    • Set BEA as your Default Bank2
    • Select “Next”
  4. • Enter the One-time Password (OTP) sent to you4
    • Select “Next”
  5. • Verify the details
    • Select “Confirm” to complete the FPS Addressing registration

Registering for an Email address

  1. • Log in to the BEA App
    • Select Transfers & Payment >
    FPS Registration
  2. • Select “Register” in
    “Email address”
  3. • Select a deposit account to receive money sent to this proxy ID
    • Set BEA as your Default Bank2
    • Select “Next”
  4. • Enter the One-time Password (OTP) sent to you
    • Select “Next”
  5. • Verify the details
    • Select “Confirm” to complete the FPS Addressing registration

Registering for an FPS ID

  1. • Log in to the BEA App
    • Select Transfers & Payment >
    FPS Registration
  2. • Select “Register” in
    “FPS ID”
  3. • Select a deposit account to receive money sent to this proxy ID
    • Select “Next”
  4. • Verify the details
    • Select “Confirm” to complete the FPS Addressing registration

Registering for HKID Number

  1. • Log in to the BEA App
    • Select Transfers & Payment >
    FPS Registration
  2. • Select “Register” in
    “HKID no.”
  3. • Select a deposit account to receive money sent to this proxy ID
    • Select “Next”
  4. • Verify the details
    • Select “Confirm” to complete the FPS Addressing registration
Remarks:
1. HKID no. for FPS addressing is only applicable to receive funds from the HKSAR government and institutions.
2. Set BEA as your Default Bank for the “Mobile no.” and “Email address” proxy ID(s) for easier receiving of payments.
3. If you’re registering for both “Mobile no.” and “Email address” proxy IDs in this step, enter the correct OTP for “Mobile no.” before the one for “Email address”.
4. SMS messages for OTP cannot be forwarded to any other phone number, even if you have enabled an “SMS Forwarding” service.
5. Setting your BEA account(s) as Default here will overwrite previous default deposit bank settings. Also, choosing “Terminate” here will delete previous records.
