Transfer out

Make free, instant inter-bank fund transfers through FPS using just the recipient’s mobile no. or email address1.

Transfer in

Receive fund transfers without providing your account number, by registering for FPS addressing.

Payments

Make bill payments to categories of merchant such as "Credit Card", "Government or Statutory Organisation", or "Utilities" anytime2 in just a few steps.

Steps: Log in to "Cyberbanking" → "Payments" → "Bills"

If you would like to carry out fund transfers to non-registered accounts and/or make bill payment to merchants, you will need to:

Log in to the BEA App and follow instructions to activate i‑Token (mobile security token)

Log in to Cyberbanking to increase your transaction limit for "Fund transfers to non-registered payees (BEA HK and other local banks)" and/or "Payments to high-risk merchants3"

Log in to Cyberbanking/the BEA App safer and more easily with a username instead of your account number!

Steps: Log in to "Cyberbanking" → "Settings" → "Username"

Save time by creating templates for frequent fund transfers and bill payments. You can also use these templates in the BEA App.

Steps (Fund transfer): Log in to "Cyberbanking" → "Accounts" → "Transfers" → "Templates" → "Create a new template"

Steps (Bill payment): Log in to "Cyberbanking" → "Payments" → "Templates" → "Create a new template4"

Activate your Cyberbanking account for the first time and start managing your finances from anywhere.

Note:

  1. If the beneficiary wishes to receive money through their mobile number, email address, FPS ID, or HKID number, you will first need to register for the FPS addressing service with a bank or stored-value facility that supports real time inter-bank transfers. You can also enter the bank account number of the recipient directly.
  2. A bill payment will be registered on the next working day if the transaction is completed after the cut-off time on a working day, Sunday, public holiday, or when the Typhoon No.8 Signal or higher or Black Rainstorm warning is hoisted.
  3. Except for merchants in the categories of "Government or Statutory Organisation", "Utilities", "Education: Primary or Secondary School", or "Education: Post-secondary or Specialised Institution".
  4. To use a newly created payment template, please log in to "Cyberbanking" → "Settings" → "Mobile Banking" → "Templates" → click "Resume" on the newly created template.
