Investment Objective
The BEA Global Resources Fund promises to help you seek long-term capital growth through a diversified international portfolio of marketable securities, comprised primarily of equity securities and equity-linked securities, including common stocks, preferred stocks, warrants, equity deposits, equity-linked notes, and debt securities convertible into common stocks with a business focus on mining, agriculture, forestry, extraction of energy, oil and gas, exploration, processing and distribution, commodity-related industries, recycling, and renewable energy.
Why Invest in BEA Global Resources Fund?
Investment opportunities are arising as a result of the imbalance between supply and demand.
|
Emergence of China and India as New Super-Commodity Consumers |
| |
Developing nations and emerging countries like China and India are rapidly industrialising. Surges in the demand for machinery and construction materials such as cement, chemicals, lumber, and metals are helping to strengthen infrastructure and propel economies forward. Demands for agricultural products are also increasing alongside rapid population growth. |
| |
|
|
Underinvestment in Production Capacities |
| |
Increased economic output leads to a supply shortage of basic materials and resources. As the structural expansion of an economy's supply capacity generally takes ten years to complete, the risk of supply bottlenecks increases, which in turn leads to serious shortfalls in the medium term. Rising geopolitical risks also add pressure to the transportation of resources. |
| |
|
|
Impact of Extreme Weather on Supply |
| |
Extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, and the rising costs of exploring non-renewable resources curb supply. Erratic weather patterns and intense phenomena such as hurricanes and monsoons impede exploration efforts and the transportation of resources, which restrict supply and elevate the costs of materials. |
Why Invest in the Fund?
|
The Benefit of Diversification |
| |
In general, investors should diversify their investments in different investment tools and stocks to mitigate the downside risks to asset value in an uncertain market environment. The Fund serves as a cost-effective way for investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of globally marketable securities with a focus on raw materials and resources. |
