Investment Objective
The BEA Global Bond Fund (the "Fund") aims to provide you with total investment return over the medium to long term through investing into a diversified range of global bonds denominated in various major world currencies.
Why Invest in BEA Global Bond Fund?
|
Defensive Investment in a Volatile Market |
| |
The global economy is in the midst of prolonged economic contraction. Therefore, short-dated interest rates are expected to remain low for the time being. The Fund is favourable for investors who are seeking fixed income investment return on a global basis amidst this volatile environment. |
| |
|
|
High Quality Investment |
| |
The Fund is mainly composed of high quality bonds issued by governments and their agencies worldwide, with an average investment-grade rating. Investors can expect to enjoy steady growth with the help of our professional fund managers, who leverage their experience to select the right bonds for the Fund. |
| |
|
|
Diversification of Investment |
| |
In general, investors should diversify their investments by selecting different investment tools to mitigate the downside risk of asset value in an uncertain market environment. The Fund is therefore a good complement to asset classes such as equity and property, as there is generally no correlation between bond returns and the performance of the equity and property markets. This is because a sharp and prolonged slowdown in the global economy generally detracts from the performance of the equity and property markets, whereas bond prices normally benefit from economic recession. The Fund serves as a cost-effective way for investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of globally marketable securities denominated in major world currencies. |
| |
|
 |
Portfolio Management Expertise |
| |
Our professional fund managers leverage over 10 years of experience to select the right investment opportunities for the Fund. In addition, they utilise the expertise of Union Asset Management Holding AG, which offers insight into the global economy as well as its extensive knowledge and experience in the area of risk and return management. |
