MANAGEMENT OF UNIT TRUST

BEA Union Investment currently manages 3 umbrella funds, which are authorised by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong.

(1) BEA Union Investment Series

  IMPORTANT

*

BEA Union Investment Series as an umbrella fund has within it different sub-funds investing in equities and/or bonds, each with different risk profile.

*

Sub-funds which invest in emerging markets may be subject to higher liquidity and volatility risks, while sub-funds which invest in a particular market or sector may be subject to higher concentration risk than funds following a more diversified policy.

*

Sub-funds which invest in lower-rated fixed income instruments, including below investment grade and non-rated debt securities, are subject to greater credit and liquidity risks than higher-rated securities.

*

Sub-funds may enter into futures contracts and currency forward contracts for hedging and investment purposes. For futures contracts and currency forward contracts entered into on an unhedged basis, the net total aggregate value of contract prices will not exceed 20% of the total net asset value of the sub-fund. Given the leverage effect embedded in futures and currency forward contracts, a sub-fund may be exposed to significant losses.

*

The investment decision is yours, but you should not invest in the sub-funds unless the intermediary who sells the sub-funds to you has explained to you that it is suitable for you and why, including how buying the sub-funds would be consistent with your investment objectives.

*

*

Some Sub-funds may invest in collective investment schemes which may invest in any one or a combination of the following instruments:
*

asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, collateralised debt obligations and/or credit default swaps;

* below investment grade securities.
Investing in any one of the above instruments may involve substantial credit, market, liquidity, and downgrading risks. Where the Sub-funds invest in a collective investment scheme which may invest in below investment grade securities, such below investment grade securities may be exposed to greater credit and liquidity risks than higher rated securities. Investors may suffer substantial losses if such risks materialise.

*

Some Sub-funds may invest in collective investment schemes which invest in countries with smaller capital markets or emerging markets which involve risks such as increased volatility, limited liquidity, and higher regulatory and legal risks.
