BEA has been awarded the "Hong Kong Leader's Choice - Excellent Brand of Mobile Banking Award 2011", supporting the Bank's status as a pioneer in the provision of innovative, value-added banking services to customers. The award comes after the 2010 release of the Bank's innovative applications for iPhone and Android.

The Bank of East Asia ("BEA") received recognition from the technology industry for its contributions to the field of application development when it won a major award in the First Hong Kong Wireless Technology Excellence Awards competition, organised by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association and Hong Kong Productivity Council.
