  Responsibilities:
To solicit new corporate accounts, cultivate relationship with customers, as well as cross-selling the Bank's products and services

MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAMME

During this two-year programme, trainees will gain in-depth knowledge of the banking and financial fields through extensive training and job rotation among BEA's core functional units. These units include Personal Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury, Risk Management, and the Bank's China & International networks.

Upon completion of the programme, trainees who have demonstrated strong potential and met management benchmarks will be advanced to executive positions.

Asset & Liability Management Department
Risk Manager - Monitoring & Reporting Section (Ref ALMD-RM-MRS)
 
  Responsibilities:

To oversee guideline and limit compliance, in particular on monitoring limit/guideline compliance among business units on interest rate, liquidity, market and strategic risks on a Bank Group basis

 

To keep track of risk related activities and to timely report to the Section Head the results or any irregularities thereof

 

To ascertain the market statistics and norm on asset & liability management related issues, and to identify and report any gaps between the Bank and the market

  To liaise with various departments, China and overseas operations on regular/ad hoc reporting, and to secure accuracy and efficiency thereof
 

To perform ad hoc projects pertinent to asset & liability management, in particular, audits, regulatory examinations, MIS, and on-going enhancements

 

To review and finalise the agenda/reporting for the weekly Pre-ALCO/ALCO meetings

  Requirements:

  Responsibilities:

To report to the Senior Manager of the Section

To monitor the compliance risk of the Bank Group's overseas branches and subsidiaries ("Business Units")
  To analyse and assess the potential impact of relevant laws and regulations as well as industry's best practices on the Business Units
To review regular and other ad-hoc reports submitted by the Business Units to identify potential compliance issues, ensure conformity with the Group's as well as regulators' compliance requirements, and make necessary recommendations for improvement
To review and comment on compliance policies and guidelines of the Business Units to ensure that Group Directives and their local regulatory requirements are being complied with

  Responsibilities:

To inform the relevant business units of the regulatory implications and actions to be taken (where necessary) in respect of those new enactments/amendments in rules and regulations

 

To establish compliance policies/guidelines for the Bank to follow and perform regular review to ensure they reflect the current regulatory requirements and operational needs

 

To advise the parties concerned on the development of internal policies and appropriate mechanisms to ensure the relevant rules and regulations are being complied with

  To advise relevant business units on regulatory compliance related matters
  To review and comment on marketing literature, advertisement, terms and conditions or other documents from regulatory compliance perspective upon department's requests
 

To advise business units in the assessment of regulatory compliance risk involved in the existing and new product initiatives

  To propose and conduct suitable training and/or briefing sessions to strengthen the working knowledge of the staff of the Bank on compliance matters
