China Mortgage Loan
Applications
Hong Kong, 17 October 2002 – The Bank of East Asia (BEA) is pleased to announce that, with immediate effect, applications for mortgage loans secured by properties in China will be accepted at all 109 branches of the Bank in Hong Kong.
This new service will cater to the growing demand by Hong Kong buyers for mortgages on Mainland properties. BEA offers mortgage loan facilities denominated in Renminbi, HK Dollars and US Dollars.
With this service, customers applying for China mortgage loans will no longer need to travel to a BEA branch on the Mainland to submit an application. BEA's wide branch network in Hong Kong makes applying for a mortgage both easy and convenient, greatly reducing the time and expense of securing financing for China properties. Moreover, BEA offers very competitive mortgage rates and expert knowledge of the China property market.
Customers may also continue to submit applications through all existing channels, including the offices of BEA China Division at the Hong Kong Headquarters Building, and at any Mainland branch of BEA. Application forms are also available for downloading from BEA's websites at http://www.hkbea.com or http://www.hkbea.com.cn.
